My duties as member for Gippsland East require me to spend a great deal of time in Melbourne. I also need to spend some time keeping in touch with people over a very large electorate.
If you need to contact my office, one of my staff will be happy to deal with your question.
A brief introduction to each of them will help you to know with whom you are dealing.

David Radford |
|
| David joined my office in 2001 after a 13 year
career in regional newspapers. Being a former journalist, he has a solid knowledge of the region and the needs of its individuals. As my electorate adviser, his duties include meeting individual constituents and community groups across the district and assisting them during my absence. Skills from his former career are utilised in investigating matters of concern to residents in Gippsland East and providing support to me. David and his family enjoy country life and the many natural attractions this region has to offer.

John is widely known to many people throughout East Gippsland. He has been a prominent commercial insurance broker in Bairnsdale for more than 18 years, and has worked closely with local business, in particular, the farming manufacturing, tourism, retail, trades and logging industries. Working closely and developing strong links within these industries and communities over a long period of time, has given John a unique insight and understanding of the issues that are important to East Gippslanders. With this diverse background, he is well placed to be of real assistance to my constituents. John and his wife Denise are passionate about the East Gippsland Region, and they take advantage of every available week end to experience the lakes and rivers as well as the high country. |

I am fortunate to have the services of Bruce on a part-time basis. Having represented Gippsland East from 1961 to 1992, he has an unsurpassed knowledge of the electorate and its people. He admits that he has some "unfinished business" from his parliamentary days, particularly to lay to rest the urban myth that country people are subsidised by the city. A computer enthusiast since the advent of the Personal Computer, he brings a unique combination of skills and experience to serve the electorate to which he has devoted so much of his life. |
